This course is intended for academic undergraduate students.

Studying at a foreign university is a challenging and rewarding experience. VIU has six International Student Advisors who provide international students with the support necessary to achieve their educational goals and have a successful study experience.

Wednesday Webinars
Before international students arrive to VIU, the international student advisors will deliver pre-arrival information webinars. These sessions will cover topics such as:
- Course registration
- Immigration
- Housing (off campus/residence)
- Budgeting
- Nanaimo life
- Travel
Campus life
- Orientation and more.
All incoming students are welcome to attend and ask questions.

Student Advisors support ESL, Undergraduate and Masters students (excluding academic advising) by providing information on:

- Personal advising and counseling
